GPS product range is enormous. It includes PET preforms, PET bottles and Jars, various kinds of closures for Carbonated Soft Drink (CSD), water, pharmaceutical, oil and other applications, Toothpaste Tubes etc. Apart from these, GPS has the ability to take up any new and challenging project to meet the plastic packaging requirements of its valued customers.

PET PREFORMS

GPS manufactures PET preforms in various sizes and design that meet the requirements of all major Carbonated Soft Drink and Mineral Water bottlers. The gamut consists of flexible and low weight type preforms with different neck finishes like BPF and PCO for Carbonated Soft Drink, Obrist and 3 Start High neck for Mineral water as per the international Standards.

One of the most critical parameter is keeping the AA level ( Acetaldehyde level) of the preform at the lowest possible degree in order to avoid taste tainting problems. R&D team at GPS has worked on this for years and today it has mastered in developing special inherent technique to match AA level as per the guidelines of FDA.

CLOSURES

Besides various general purpose caps, GPS also manufactures specialized closures for Pharmaceutical, food, water and edible oil, Carbonated Soft Drink ( CSD ) application. Our Pharmaceutical closure consists of 4 components – Cap Body, Tamper Evident Ring, Plug and the Dosage Measure cup. These are supplied in two configurations. One, with the inside plug which seals the mouth of the bottle and is called the Stamylan Closure , the second one is Saran Closure where the inside plug is replaced by a Saran – Alkozell liner which again performs the same function that of a plug. Other closures in pharmaceutical section are Pull ring closure, Bottle Pack closure, Antiseptic closure and Overcap for Baby feeder. The Pull Ring closure is a single piece closure applied on the sterilized irrigation water bottle, where as the Bottle pack closure is a 2 piece closure – the Cap Body and the Rubber disc that are assembled together before the cap is applied on Bottles for I .V. solution ( for injection ). The Overcap for baby feeder is of single piece type. It is fixed over the baby fluid bottle once the seal of the bottle is broken and the nipple is applied.
Under Food, water and Oil category, we produce closures for Edible Oil, Peanut butter, Mayonnaise, Ghee and other application.

The Edible oil closure, also known as No-drip closure is a 2 piece closure – Inner plug with Tear off ring, and the Outer cap. The Peanut Butter closures are of two types – One, the PB Push on closure to be fixed on PB glass cups, Second the Screw on type to be applied on PB jars. These caps can be supplied with Al seal liners ( Integraseal liners ). Other closures in the food category are Tin Re-closures and Mayonnaise Jar cap. Tin Re-closures serve as overcaps for Ghee cans once their seals are broken, where as the Mayonnaise Jar closure is a standard two piece type closure – Fliptop cap body with a Liner inside. In Water closure category GPS produces two kinds of closures – One with 28 mm dia suitable for Obrist neck finish and the other one known as 5-liter water bottle closure and its handle. This closure fits on a neck dia. 45 mm.

OF late Gulf Packaging has started the successful commercial production of Carbonated Soft Drink ( CSD ) closures termed as Gulf Pak closures, using the latest and advanced Compression Molding Technology in the most ultra modern plant with production capacity exceeding 1 billion pieces per annum. The Gulf Pak closure is a 2 piece closure with unique features like – Leak proof sealing liner, efficient Tamper Evident Band, Good surface finish at the top (without injection point) making it compatible to take a multicolor print on it. Inside printing / promotional printing can also be carried out with all ease.

PET JAR AND BOTTLES

GPS currently produces variety of jars, bottles mainly for Food, water, oil and chemical application. Under Food category, we have 2 types of jars for Peanut Butter- one 310 ml and the other one with 510 ml volume. Likewise, we have 340 ml bottle for Mayonnaise etc. For water filling purpose, we produce 5 Liter PET bottle with wide neck ( 45 mm dia.) and for Oil application we produce 1 liter oil bottle. We also produce a typically designed PET bottle of 650 ml for chemicals like window cleaning liquid etc.

Collapsible Tubes

Gulf Packaging System firmly believes in offering new products consistently in order to meet the varied demands of a growing and sophisticated market. When there is a trend all over the world in switching from conventional Aluminum Tubes to Collapsible Tubes (Laminate Tubes), Gulf Packaging system is proud to announce the successful introduction of Collapsible Tubes, the first tube manufacturing plant in the Kingdom.

The unique features of these tubes are flexibility, absolute barrier, and strong bonding. Flexibility means tubes with different material configuration like Aluminum Barrier Laminate ( ABL ) and All Plastic Laminate ( APL ) can be produced in different diameters and lengths to suit most of the standard size. The Barrier property relates to the total barrier to Oxygen, Moisture and high volatile flavours.

High bond strength and Excellent seal strength are the other strong points of these tubes. High Bond strength means superior laminate quality with excellent bond strength between the multilayer structure. The substrate never de-laminates even when highly aggressive Toothpaste, Analgesics and creams are in contact with the inner layer for prolonged period. Where as the Seal Strength means Seal integrity between the tube body and the shoulder weld and at the side seam. These tubes are suitable to pack Toothpaste, Face creams, Skin Ointment, shampoo, Liquid soap, hair remover, cream cheese, ketchup, honey, sandwich spread and mayonnaise.
